According to the Order of the Ministry of Infrastructure of Ukraine No. 474 dated December 27, 2017, a coefficient of 0.8 is introduced to the rates of port charges (tonnage, canal, sanitary, anchorage, berthing and administrative).
Coefficient 0.8 is not applicable:
- during ship calls for loading or discharging transit cargo,
- for passenger ships,
- during ship calls to the seaports of the Danube River,
- for oil tankers,
- for light dues.
The rate of the lighth dues is reduced slightly.
The order is applied from 01 January 2018.
Due to appearance of ice on the approach channel in the seaport of Kherson, an ice campaign is being declared from 00:00 on January 27, 2018. The corresponding order issued by the Harbour Master will ensure the safety of navigation.
At the present time, on the Kherson Sea canal, there is an accumulation of ice up to 5 cm thick by 10 points cohesion, which descends along the Southern Bug River. The port service ships are fully ready for work in the conditions of the ice campaign.
Since the beginning of winter, the ice campaign has been announced for the first time, the other ports operate in the regular mode.

The Government has supported the Ministry of Infrastructure's proposal to reduce the rates of port dues: tonnage, canal, sanitary, anchorage, berth and administrative by 20% starting from January 1, 2018.
The relevant Government Order was agreed upon during the meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, which took place on January 11, 2018.
Due to the significant shallowing of the approaching canal of Mariupol and Azovstal ports for safe pilotage via canal and to prevent the landing of vessels on the ground at mentioned canals, until completion of the canal dredging the port of Mariupol, Harbour Master set the maximum draft since 07.11.2017 00:00 LT :
at the canal of Mariupol port - 7,50 м,
at the canal of Azovstal port - 2,80 м.
Due to improved ice conditions in the Azov sea, Mariupol port area and approaching canal, Berdyansk port area and due to significant air temperature increasing as per meteo forecast, from 00:00 LT 28.02.2017 ice campaign at Mariupol and Berdyansk ports is officially cancelled.
On 01.02.2016 the Kerch canal and Azov sea are free of ice,
Mariupol port approaching canal is free of ice, partly covered by easy passable broken ice,
passing via Azov sea and approaching canal without ice-breaker's and tugs assistance,
Mariupol port basin is covered of easy broken ice.

As per weather forecast for the next few days temperature may vary from -2 C to +6 C with slight raining.
