    Mariupol port - changing of maximum draft of approaching canal

    Due to the significant shallowing of the approaching canal of Mariupol and Azovstal ports for safe pilotage via canal and to prevent the landing of vessels on the ground at mentioned canals, until completion of the canal dredging the port of Mariupol, Harbour Master set the maximum draft since 07.11.2017 00:00 LT : at the canal of Mariupol port - 7,50 м, at the canal of Azovstal port - 2,80 м.

    Due to improved ice conditions in the Azov sea, Mariupol port area and approaching canal, Berdyansk port area and due to significant air temperature increasing as per meteo forecast, from 00:00 LT 28.02.2017 ice campaign at Mariupol and Berdyansk ports is officially cancelled.

    Mariupol port ice conditions

    On 01.02.2016 the Kerch canal and Azov sea are free of ice, Mariupol port approaching canal is free of ice, partly covered by easy passable broken ice, passing via Azov sea and approaching canal without ice-breaker's and tugs assistance, Mariupol port basin is covered of easy broken ice.   Present temperature is +3 C, wind N 1 mps. As per weather forecast for the next few days temperature may vary from -2 C to +6 C with slight raining.   Ice campaign is not declared in Mariupol port.

    Ice Campaign has started at Nikolaev port since 00:00 lt 05.01.2016

    From 00:00 lt 05.01.2016 Ice Campaign has been announced at Nikolaev port. All vessels must advise the following information for Harbor Master: dwt ice class year of building main engine power (hp) main dimensions qnty and material of propellers technical condition of the vessel and radio-navigation equipment actual draught Classification society Also vessels on departure must have bunkering and stores for minimum 10 days, otherwise port authorities will not release the vessel. Vessels without ice class must present the Classification Society certificate or permission for one-time navigation in icy sea with ice-breaker...
