Grain exports from Ukraine in July-August 2012-2013 marketing year (July 2012 - June 2013) totaled 2.98 million tons, up 60% over the same period last year.
This was reported to the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
For 2 months of the current MY wheat exports totaled 1.3 million tons, which is 83% more than in July and August 2011, including exports of wheat rose to 0.933 million tons against 0.612 million tons, feed - to 0.368 million tonnes from 98.1 tonnes. Barley exports dropped by half - to 0.551 million tons against 1.097 million tonnes, maize - has increased almost 20 times - up to 1.1 million tons. Other grain exports totaled 37.4 thousand tons.
In August, the new marketing year, Ukraine supplied to foreign markets 1,782,000 tons of grain, which is 48% more than in July 2012, including, wheat exports totaled 0.931 million tonnes, barley - 0.503 million tonnes and maize - 0.312 million tons.
Kindly remind that Ministry of Agrarian Policy expects grain harvest this year will be 45.3 million tonnes against 56.7 million tonnes in 2011.
